THE HIGHLANDS
River Meadows, on the New River, lies in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Grayson County, Virginia, where heritage is rich, traditions are plentiful, and the landscape is breathtaking. Grayson County is distinguished by Virginia's two highest mountains; state and national parks comprising nearly half its area; and more river frontage than any other county in the Commonwealth. The Blue Ridge Parkway also meanders peacefully and stunningly through Grayson County. With mountain streams, wildflowers, cool crisp mornings, and splendid sunsets, the Virginia Highlands setting is simply spectacular.
